[REVIEW] IOPE Air Cushion XP

Hi! Its a lazy Sunday for me today and I am here to share another current favourite product of mine which I just received from Qoo10 :).

After watching Liah Yoo's Youtube video of her sharing on different foundation cushions that are out in the market in Korea, i was really excited to try them out! I am currently using the Laneige Snow Cushion (shade 21) which I find the coverage alittle too light . So i would normally use Hera CC Cream first, which has medium coverage, to cover up the red patches on my skin then followed by the Laneige Snow Cushion for a dewy finish.

I was contemplating between the Verite UV Multi Cushion or the Iope one because I've heard soooo many good reviews on them.

In the end, I ordered the Iope Air Cushion XP from Qoo10 because it was supposed to be the most popular in korea ! I got it at a discounted price at SGD29.90 because the seller was having a promotion :)

My order came within 10 days which was considerably fast since it was shipped from Korea. The Iope Air cushion comes in 3 types - Natural, Shimmer and Cover. As I was looking for one with higher coverage, I chose the Cover in Shade 21 (Natural Beige).

CoverageI'm pretty satisfied with the coverage though i still need about two layers on my cheek area. It is actually long lasting.

Before

 After

I don't have a lot of spots but I do have some slight red patches on my cheeks and I really love how this Air Cushion gives good coverage and at the same time makes my skin looks healthy and flawless!

When I first applied it I was afraid it might looked a little light for my skin , but after letting it set for a while it actually matches my skin tone perfectly and it gives you really moisturised glowing skin. I have large pores as well and this covers them very well. This foundation gives a matte finish. Sometimes if I want something more dewy I would first apply the Etude House Nymph Volumer before the cushion.

Scent - Light powdery smell which doesn't bother me because the Laneige Snow Cushion has a stronger perfume scent.

DurabilityIt lasted about 6 hrs without a need to touch up (without Primer). I think it will last even longer with a primer.

Application - Another thing I loovvveee about this is how easy it is to apply! You don't need any brushes because it comes with a really good quality sponge which blends the product really effectively.

Would I recommend this? YES!!

I think this is such a clever product and it really does what it claims! It is best for people who are in a hurry but still wish to achieve a glowing moisturised skin. This Air Cushion has SPF 50 sunblock and medium coverage all in one!

I will order the Verite UV Multi Cushion next to try but until then this will be my favourite foundation cushion for now :)

Let me know what you think about this product too :)

[REVIEW] The Saem cover perfection Tip Concealer, Etude Surprise essence concealer , MAC Pro Longwear concealer

I have been looking for a perfect dark eye circle concealer for the longest time. And after doing some research online, I've bought 3 liquid concealers to try. They are The Saem Cover Tip Concealer, MAC prolong wear concealer and Etude Surprise essence concealer. My eye areas are pretty dry so cream/stick type of concealers are a no go for me.. so far those that I've used tend to cake and crease like crazy.. I don't have severe eye circles but the dark undereye discolorations makes me look tired and dull.. so thats why I need a high coverage and moisturising concealer that does not sit on the fine lines to cover them..

From Left: The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer, MAC ProLongwear Concealer
and Etude Surprise essence Concealer

In terms of texture, The Saem is the creamiest followed by MAC then Etude. The MAC concealer is also more towards the pink tone.

One thin layer applied to cover some brown eyeliner to test the coverage

Second layer (sorry my hand's skin tone is darker than face, this is just for reference :))

Coverage - As you can see , The Saem provides the best coverage followed by MAC and Etude.

Application - in terms of application, both Etude and The Seam has a brush tip that is easy to just use. I seriously dislike the MAC bottle which comes with a pump. ONE pump gives you a 5 cent coin amount of concealer which is alot just for eye area. It is very difficult to get a tiny amount out. I always end up wasting alot of the product each time and it also tends to get messy.

Crease - I have some fine lines under eye and all 3 gives me creases. I guess its highly tough to find a high coverage concealer that does not crease.. perhaps you have any recommendations? :)

Duration - Without any loose powder on, I feel The Saem lasted the longest for me (up to 8 hours) I work in 9-5 office environment. These concealers have to withstand full aircon blasts and also sweat during lunch breaks. The MAC does run on me when I use my finger to swipe off eyeliner smudges ( It is a very bad habit) and then it becomes cakey..

Overall rating
STAR*** The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer - 4.5 /5
This is my favourite out of the three because of its coverage and how it is very effective in covering blemishes and redness on my cheeks as well for the price I paid ! (Roughly SGD$9 (USD $7)on ebay). The only thing is that I find the colour a little light for my skin. It is fine if i just dab a small amount for the dark circles.. too much of this will be too thick and light and there will be this visible difference in skin tone on my face.. two very bright eye circles. Also this product dries the fastest so i had to do the dabbing quickly. Overall this is a great product at drugstore price :) I will likely order the other shade to try as well!

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer - 3.8/5
It would have been a favourite if not for the packaging.. It is a good product that can be buildable. I feel that this concealer doesn't cover redness very well too. I got this for SGD$30 at local MAC stores.. for this price I expected a much better product.

Etude Surprise Essence Concealer - 4/5
This would be a great concealer for someone that needs just light to medium coverage. Plus it is also affordable! I bought this at about SGD$11 at local Etude House.

I hope my review has been useful :)

What are your recommendations for concealers?

[REVIEW] Banila Co. CLEAN IT ZERO

Today I am excited to review an amazing product I've discovered! I ordered a Primer from Banila Co because I've heard so much about it and also a base and eyeliner from Qoo10 and the items came so fasttt!

(from left: Eye Love Eyeliner, Prime Primer Hydrating, it Shiny Shimmering base, it radiant brightening CC sample, Prime Primer Classic sample, SQUARE black eyeliner and Extra Black sesame oil sample)

My loots came within 1 week in a sturdy box with bubble wraps. I'm seriously impressed with the speed of the delivery and would definitely go back to this seller [BANILA CO NO.1] You can check the site here. :)

(Jessica from SNSD, the latest face of Banila Co)

So anyway the seller also gave a couple of samples and one of them is a make up remover CLEAN IT ZERO (I forgot to to include in the picture above!) This was my favourite item out of the loots! Yes , a sample!

For me, I'm using SIMPLE cleansing wipes now because I really dislike oil base make up remover. . I'll tell you why..

Firstly, oil make up removers are so difficult to use with a cotton pad. They are so are so thick that when you rub against my skin the cotton strands will just all stick to my face. Or am I using them wrong? ;p If I just use my hands to massage it on my face , some of it will get into my eyes and it always clouds my contact lens and I literally cannot see a thing for the rest of the make up removing process. And my hands are too oily to want to remove the lens.

So then I ended up avoiding the lash lines each time but after shower, the left over make up just forms a shadow under my eye and I have to remove it a second time.

To avoid the hassle with oil make up removers , I switched to using SIMPLE cleansing wipes. It is quite effective and convenient.. but the thing about wipes is that sometimes I need to use more force to rub off my waterproof eye makeup, which I really try to avoid doing so..but because I've not found a better alternative before this, I continued with the wipes for quite some time.. until I tried the BANILA CO CLEAN IT ZERO!!

This product is so AMAZING. It just ticks all the boxes for me ..
1) removes makeup thoroughly
2) easy on the eyes (because I use eyeliner every single day.. even if it is just to walk to 7-11 opposite my house hahha) , and
3) easy on the skin (I have easily irritated skin)

At the same time I've also tried the Sulwhasoo Cleansing oil which also does a very good job like Clean It Zero. But Clean It Zero is much much more wallet friendly.

This product is actually a paste form, which then emulsifies the moment you apply it on your skin and really melts your makeup. It turns into a clear substance like water, not oil, and you can either wipe off with a cleansing wipe, which I usually do, or wash it off directly with water.

For me ,I really love this because it doesn't leave a squeaky tight feeling on your skin after cleansing and it removes eye make up so well that I don't even have eyeliner/eyeshadow left at the corner of my eyes after shower !

4 of my waterproof eyeliners..

After one gentle rub

second time.. tada!

(Finished the sample already... sorry for the hair in the picture! so gross :P)

A very happy me :)

I've since ordered the full tub :) They have came out with a new version call Clean it Zero Radiance which is supposed to have brightening effects. But I chose the original one because for me, I need a cleanser to do its job well! THe brightening job can be done by another product later.

The other two versions are 'Purity' for Sensitive skin and 'Resveratrol' for tightening of pores

The only thing that I don't really like is the packaging. A little hassle to have to use a spatula to scoop the paste out. But I'm willing to overlook it given how amazing this product is!

I give it 4.9 of out 5 stars !

P.S these items are not sponsored. They are based on my personal reviews. I hope you like my first review :) Have a great day!

HELLO !

Hello to you who is reading this now :)

This is my first ever blog in my entire life haha. And I will be posting some reviews of skin care and make up products that I am using or had used before.

Why did I decide to start a blog ? Hmm honestly I have been putting on make up since years ago. I've always been more interested in cosmetics rather than skincare. My compulsive buying behavior will tend to show when there are new blushers or eyeliners in the drugstore ! Skincare was always basic.. Cleansing and moisturising. I wasn't even bothered with toner. Occassionally I might use a mask or essence. My combination skin was all along fuss free.. but I concluded that it was me who was too lazy to notice anything since it can be covered with more makeup! *Shakes head with regret*.

However .. after hitting 25 *sobs* yes i've entered that phase now... one fine day I noticed lines start to show under my eyes when I laugh and red rough irritated skin on my cheeks.. together with overall dull unattractive skin.. I had this overwhelming sense of panic. I was like 'GOODNESS WHAT HAPPENED?!' So I quickly headed down to the local stores to and bought full routine of skincare products from whichever sales lady sounded the most convincing.

Of course, I realised that some of the products just doesn't work at all and I totally wasted alot of money . Thereafter I started to spend a lot of time researching on products online from other beauty blogs before purchasing them. And I really liked reading honest reviews from other bloggers. That also got me started on an ebay and Qoo10 craze as well!!! I'm so thankful for them because I'm really into korean make up and skincare.. yes yes hahaha I am one of those who failed to resist the Korean Hallyu craze.. aka the Korean Wave..

And I've since bought some really AAAMMAZZZINGG stuff and I am dying to share ! So I decided that why not blog about them !!:)

I will be reviewing some Banila CO products shortly !

Thanks for reading !
